Muzium Polis, Kuala Lumpur

I had a chance to visit The Royal Malaysian Police Museum ( Muzium Polis Diraja Malaysia), located within the vicinity of Masjid Negara and Muzium Kesenian Islam at Jalan Perdana. It contained mostly on chronological items that represent the history and development of Malaysian police  and how its  evolvement  is influenced by defence system from Malacca Sultanate  to the invading foreign powers particularly from British which later shaped  the police constituent to what we know of today.

The chronological history and information is made such that it give the visitors an insight on the birth of police ; the tragedy and catalyst that led to it. Each of evolvement and the expansion of police  across Tanah Melayu was a result from crucial chaos due to mismanagement from the ruling communities, be it local and invading countries alike. The disability to distribute the wealth to as many communities as possible was coincide with the desire of each power to expand and to cater the needs of their own selected groups and countries which reflected among key reasons on the wars and unrest that happened around the world.

For ruling community to have such objective in mind with pressing social unrest at hands, I would say, and  not aggressively to think that the willingness of ruling colony to actively establish defense force was to protect their importance in Malaya, to ensure the workforce and the continuance of their economic competency was not detered by surrounding disorder. It is a wonder if such establishment did include the well being of locals, since the economic standing among locals didn't have significant improvement before and after Japanese occupation. The establishment of Malayan Union only led to another protest that brought another discussion and agreement among the ruling colony and locals representatives particularly sultans , to improve and expand further the police constituency.

Overall, it was an eye opener given that a further reading is made prior and after the visit. I could not deny and respect the bravery of those who protected the country during state of distress with many among them became fallen heroes , was rare quality to be remembered and should be instilled within us. Tragedy Bukit Kepong for example depicted this sentiment. The terror caused by Bintang Tiga had distinguished those who believed in harmony and peace and those who preserved the communist ideologies through terror. The rampage caused by those who believed in certain ideology after a thorough torture by the oppressors ,the pain that inflicted physically and mentally expanded to the related members had fired up the courage through inflicting pain and torture ,same method that they received, blinded by hatred and vengeance to others.
